The Skin Atlas

The Skin Atlas is a software package that explores the histology and pathology of skin through the use of images. The package allows students to investigate specific images in detail and to select and compare images. Image rollovers provide a simple mechanism for the student to test their knowledge. Flexibility has been incorporated into the program by data-driven specification of images rather than hard-coding into the program. This removes the requirement for a programmer when making simple changes to the atlas.

Curriculum Usage

The Skin Atlas is used in semester 1 of the medical curriculum.
